When working in the entertainment industry or better yet
trying to work in the entertainment industry, sometimes it is hard to see and
end to a means. The industry is tough and difficult to break into and sometimes
you wonder if it is all really worth it. Anyone who is success story in the
entertainment industry started somewhere. No one became and success overnight
and hard work and dues had to be paid before they could see their success. Often
we let the fears of not succeeding hold us back from actually succeeding. It is
hard to really allow ourselves to see a picture when we are clouded by doubt. One
thing that I learned throughout my Masters program at Full Sail University is,
if you are knowledgeable in your trade, work hard, and build a strong enough network,
someone is going to give you a chance. I am excited to see what the next
chapter is in my life. There is so much I want to do and so much I have to
offer and I know that with the right amount of work and patience I can really
achieve everything I set my mind to. I am not going to give up on my dream
because it seems tough. I am going to try my best to be what I want to be and I
am not going to let anything hold me back.

The Passion
Throughout my journey of obtaining my Master of Science in
Entertainment Business I have learned many things. First I have learned that
when starting in this business, starting from the bottom is building the roots
to a potential successful career. Some people struggle with doing what they
believe is “the dirty work”, but if you prove yourself along the way, the
connections that you could possibly make could help elevate your career to
another level. Second, you can never learn to much. Always be open to learn and
take advice, the industry continues to grow everyday and the more you are
willing to learn, the better you would be against any competition. Last but not
least, fight for what you want. No body can take anything away from you unless
you let them. If you want something in life you have to fight for it. In this
industry people fight every day to get to the top. You have to have a love and
passion for it and remember that hard work, no matter what they work is, will
pay off in the end. I am blessed to have
learned so much this past year. I am excited for the new possibilities not only
because I have the educational background to do so, but because I know what I want.
I am not afraid to take what is rightfully mine and if I work hard in this
industry, I know I will be successful without a doubt. When I think about the
entertainment industry I think about the passion and dedication that it takes
to see it succeed. From movies to music to even sports, passion and hard work
never lack in this industry.

My Business Plan
Creating a business plan takes a lot of research, insight,
and drive. Over the past month I had to really think about what I wanted my
business to be, how I wanted to be different from my competitors, and what I hoped
to accomplish through my business plan. When going back and reviewing the
expert’s outlook on a great business plan, I definitely took into consideration
some of the things that they mentioned. I wanted to come up with a spin on an
old idea, create something that was groundbreaking, create a team that could
work together to provide the best possible service, and most of all make my
business plan stand out. I actually presented my business plan to a friend of
mine and tried to give a brief description of what I wanted my company to do. After
some harsh words, he really made me realize that when trying to sell a business
who have to be as thorough a possible. It is vital that you give all the
information that would help someone want to invest and see you business grow. The
experts said that it was important to stand out. Realizing this I attempted to
re-pitch my business. I gave him a step-by-step breakdown of what we hoped to
accomplish and what new ideas we could possibly bring to the market that we are
entering. He was definitely impressed. The
more efficient you are the better chance you have of someone seeing your dream
and working to make it a reality.

When creating a business plan it is important to look into different outlooks of how it should be executed. There are many experts in the industry who specialize in helping business perfect their business plan and take to the next level.
I decided to check out the expert views on the business plan blog. Andrea Cockerman and Angelo Menquzzi. Andrea is a independent pitch expert and advisor. She has helped over 350 business and has gone on to host workshops and networking events in the United Kingdo. Even though she has helped many successful businesses, she has her own successful business, Brick Handbag. Andrea believes it is critical to an investment plan to always remember to “ask investor and bankers for the money before there is no cash left” Andrea also discusses 3 essential components which consist of 1) targeting a growing market with a need for your product or service. 2) That the team is talented and able to execute the business plan. 3) That your product, service, or idea is ground breaking.
Angelo Menquzzi is a business professional with more than 10 years of business experience. “Mr. Menequzzi has been able to find and take part of business opportunities that have resulted in millions of dollars in revenue. Mr. Menequzzi has done many business plans over the years and something that he finds important is “benefits include: a heads-up to changes in the environments, better forecasting, opportunities to analyze situations before they become problematic.” Teamwork is also important to him. He has similar ideals as Ms. Cockerman and believe that teamwork is vital to the success of the business plan
